The 3–plate mechanism is
based on model 4217/6317
Stroke: 130 / 152 mm
Height: standard-height + 30 mm
Closing: hydraulic (standard feature)

Refractories:

• The Top-plate is standard
  (4200 or 6300)
• The Middle-plate has the same shape and dimensions as the top-plate
• The Lower-plate is standard
  (4200 or 6300)

The mounting plate is identical to the model 4217 / 6317, which allows the user to use the 3-plate-mechanism on its ladles.

Traditionel 3–plate mechanism

The 3–plate mechanism is based on model 4200 / 6300
Stroke: 114 / 152 mm
Height: standard-height + 30 mm
Closing: manual (standard feature)

Refractories:

• The Top-plate is standard (4200 or 6300)
• The Middle-plate has the same shape and dimensions as the top-plate
• The Lower-plate is standard

The mounting plate is identical to the model 4200 / 6300, which allows the user
to use the 3-plate-mechanism on its ladles.

3 - Plate-System (for ingot pouring)

Using Knöllinger’s technology, it is possible to convert a traditional FLO-CON mechanism 4200/6300 or the XX17 into a 3-Plate-Mechanism.

The main components of the mechanisms 4200/6300 such as, the mounting plate, housing, hinge and latch assembly can still be used. Also it is possible to put the 3-Plate-Mechanism on a ladle having a standard mounting plate and vice-versa.

The same is valid for model XX17 where the main components including mounting plate, swivel frame and the closing system can still be used.
